Advisory Board Liaison to the Workgroup
Kaye Rote
Kaye Rote has been Director of the Oklahoma Mental Health Consumer Council since December 1996, She was a tax accountant for over twenty years having worked with IRS, her own tax and bookkeeping practice, and finally within a local CPA firm. Since 1977, she has been an adjunct instructor for OSU teaching courses in tax law and small business consulting. Kaye also holds certification as a non-profit specialist through IRS. In 2005 Kaye earned her Masters Degree in Business Administration. She left her career in tax accounting to help the Consumer Council grow and felt strongly - through her own personal experiences as a consumer and family member- that the Consumer voice needed to be heard and the discrimination erased. Kaye actively represents OMHCC in numerous state and national initiatives such as Oklahoma’s Governor’s Transformation and Advisory Board; American College of Mental Health Administration; The Annapolis Coalition; and more recently in helping with the development and completion of the National Coalition of Mental Health Consumer/Survivor Organizations.
